Measurements are listed in inches and are representative of the wearer.
If your measurements don't exactly line up with those on the Sizing Chart, don't worry about it. Spandex is very forgiving. Nothing stretches quite like spandex. It's basically the superhero of fabrics. If you feel like you are stuck between sizes, the general recommendation is to get the smaller size. It will stretch to fit you, and over time the fabric will relax to fit your body.
How to measure yourself:
Use a measuring tape laid flat against your body. Don't constrict the part of your body that you are measuring, or your measurement will be too small. Measure yourself while wearing only what you plan to wear underneath. In other words, if you plan to wear your new Gold Bubble dress over your biggest, most miraculous bra, then wear that bra when taking your measurements. If you will not be wearing a T-shirt underneath your dress (our stylists recommend that you don't), then don't wear a T-shirt while you are measuring yourself.
Bust: Measure the widest part of your chest, running the measuring tape all the way around your back. For some women, this will be right over the nipples. Try not to let the tape sag behind your back, and don't constrict your chest with the measuring tape.
Waist: This is just above your belly button. Measure your waist where your abdomen is narrowest.
Hips: This is below your hip bone, just above your thighs. Measure hips at their widest point. Please be aware that this may not the widest point when viewed from the front. In fact, it will probably be the widest point when viewed from the side, because your butt may contribute significantly to the measurement.
Thigh: Measure one thigh at its widest point, which should be near the top of the thigh.
Ankle: Measure one ankle at its narrowest point, which should be just above your ankle bone.
